It is precisely because of Gods love, because of the shining testimony of Christ's work, because of the gross spectacle of God's passion that... I must fully put an end to the hope for C. as wife and the longing for human approval in this and a multitude of other areas (though some will always be partly incomplete). His Great love for me (and more specifically His love for the ones called out of the world) must be the dominating variable in my living and dying.
